Apart from the normal standard menu, Kith Cafe has a daily specials menu which was handwritten (the mains and the desserts look like they were written by different people):
Not exactly a coffee person on a weekend, I ordered an ice-blended watermelon lychee ($7.50, below). It could be the "32°C but feels like 40°C" weather that made this drink refreshing and satisfying.
We didn't have to wait very long for our food to arrive, and the staff was attentive to our needs, which was impressive given the large crowd they had to handle.
The King Prawn Linguine ($22, below) was yummilicious! They were quite generous with the prawns. it's slightly spicy but it was flavorful. However, my friend thought it was a bit salty.
The Crab linguine ($22, below) doesn't look appetizing at first sight but oh my, it was so tasty that I almost licked off my plate. The creamy and cheesy sauce complemented well with the shreds of crab meat.
I observed most people ordered the Big Breakfast ($16.50, below). There were actually bacon, sausage and sautéed mushrooms underneath the huge sunny side up. The sausage was delicious though a little salty.
IMO, Kith cafe would be a great place to hang out on a cooler day. Because there was an alfresco area, the door was kept open so as to facilitate the waiters' movement. Hence, the indoor area was still a bit warm even though it's air-conditioned.
That's how I spent my Saturday afternoon.. with great food and great company. While it's important to control time, letting go of time sometimes feels great too :)
